I think this is a wonderful representation of the unrealistic standards porn.

All I thought when I saw this was “what the hell kind of foundation are these ladies using damn”

learn me a thing

Draven star is a qt

It’s as if nobody on tumblr has ever heard of amateur porn or something.

Unrealistic…

Wait till she learns about Hollywood.

I dunno if I’d really go so far as to call a good smoky eye and “unrealistic standard”

If anything, it shows how easy it is for an average person to do themselves up like that if they so chose.

i love how normal they all look when they aren’t wearing makeup. like, they all have blemishes, they probably have reservations about their skin, their eyes can look tired and their hair is all messy.

makes you think that the chick walking past you down town with her hair in a mess could be a high class porn star.

Whaaat. They have more blemishes than I do

Visions of Hell

Still drawing on my big A3 sketchbook. Episode 14 was very inspirational and I really enjoyed the moment where Dean is seen through the eyes of someone who’s soon gonna be eaten alive by a Hellhound. :)

Tools of the trade: Mechanical pencils (0,3mm & 0,5mm), Pencils (5H, HB, 4B, 6B), watercolor pencils (HB & 6B).  Sketchbook (29,7 x 42 cm)

Scientists discover most relaxing tune ever

Sound therapists and Manchester band Marconi Union compiled the song. Scientists played it to 40 women and found it to be more effective at helping them relax than songs by Enya, Mozart and Coldplay.

Weightless works by using specific rhythms, tones, frequencies and intervals to relax the listener. A continuous rhythm of 60 BPM causes the brainwaves and heart rate to synchronise with the rhythm: a process known as ‘entrainment’. Low underlying bass tones relax the listener and a low whooshing sound with a trance-like quality takes the listener into an even deeper state of calm.

Dr David Lewis, one of the UK’s leading stress specialists said: “‘Weightless’ induced the greatest relaxation – higher than any of the other music tested. Brain imaging studies have shown that music works at a very deep level within the brain, stimulating not only those regions responsible for processing sound but also ones associated with emotions.”

The study - commissioned by bubble bath and shower gel firm Radox Spa - found the song was even more relaxing than a massage, walk or cup of tea. So relaxing is the tune, apparently, that people are being Rex advised against listening to it while driving.

The top 10 most relaxing tunes were: 1. Marconi Union - Weightless 2. Airstream - Electra 3. DJ Shah - Mellomaniac (Chill Out Mix) 4. Enya - Watermark 5. Coldplay - Strawberry Swing 6. Barcelona - Please Don’t Go 7. All Saints - Pure Shores 8. AdelevSomeone Like You 9. Mozart - Canzonetta Sull’aria 10. Cafe Del Mar - We Can Fly

This is so interesting.

Hold on.

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU COMBINED IT WITH RAINY MOOD?

I just combined it with Rainy Mood.

IT’S FUCKING AMAZING.

http://www.rainymood.com/

holy shit i fell asleep to this last night and had the greatest sleep ive had in fucking ages

Let me just say I have a heart problem and fast beat rhythms can bother and stress the hell out of me if I’m in a downer mood already (also fuck people who play loud bassy quick paced music at midnight/1am on a weeknight)…

…in short… oh my god. This is so good. I could sleep forever. I’m gonna download this and keep it on my ipod (and if anyone knows how to merge the rainymood and this MP3 into one I would be forever grateful).

Why go to Tiffany’s for a wedding band when you have one grown from your own bones? That’s what five British couples did this spring, starting with a trip to the hospital for a quick jaw biopsy to retrieve bone cells. The idea - a romantic experiment dubbed biojewelry - is the love child of Tobie Kerridge and Nikki Stott, design researchers at the Royal College of Art, and Ian Thompson, a bioengineer at Kings College London. The trio used a four-step process (below) to coax the cells into skeletal symbols of everlasting devotion. It takes months. In September, the jewelry - plus still photos and a time-lapse video of the process - will go on display at Guy’s Hospital in London. After that, the betrothed get the rings for keeps. “I love the idea that it’s precious only to us because it is, literally, us,” says Harriet Harris, one of the participants. “It’s almost worthless to anyone else.” You can’t say that about platinum.
The process1. Extract bone chips from jaw. Rinse.2. Place bone cells in ring-shaped bioactive ceramic scaffold.3. Feed liquid nutrients and culture in a temperature-controlled bioreactor for six weeks.4. After coral-like bone forms fully around scaffold, pare down to final ring shape and insert silver liner (for engraving).

Inspired by another post here on Tumblr, I decided to look into the Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong a bit more, it truly was one of the most amazing and terrifying places on earth.  Being slightly smaller than an NFL stadium, the structure was built of 350 smaller interconnected buildings and hosted, at it’s peak, a population density of 5 million people per square mile.

To put those numbers in perspective, this would be like taking the entire population of metro Philadelphia, the 4th largest in the US, and putting it in 1 square mile instead of 1,744.

The area was also largely ungoverned and unregulated.  Factories, apartments, schools, temples, churches, shops, cafes, hotels and almost anything else one could imagine were housed within the structure that never had a full blueprint of it done. Buildings were built onto buildings, expanded, rebuilt, and re-purposed as needed without a central authority of any kind.

Within the structure, natural light was almost non-existent, and an unknown number of miles of jury-rigged wires provided electricity to everything.  Water constantly dripped down to the lower levels from both rain and leaking pipes, while garbage filled every passage.  A constant yellow haze filled the structure and there were never any government safety inspections.

The Kowloon Walled City was demolished in the early 1990s as part of the deal that returned Hong Kong to the Chinese from the British. The entire area is now a park.

I find places like this fascinating, it is just incredible what we, humans, build and live in. This, hive, for lack of a better term, was one of the most interesting structures I’ve yet looked at.
